A Next Generation Retail Experience

In Fall 2017, our team was asked to work with a fortune 500 telecom provider to envision, design, and prototype two retail experiences. The intent of each—a cafe and a next-gen space— were to shape public perceptions of the company as a leader across communication, connectivity and media, to demonstrate the future state of the company, and to elevate the customer experience, which was currently lacking in its brick and mortar stores.

Each store was to be designed as learning experiences, from which a playbook could be developed to accelerate the company’s ability to compete and lead in the market.

The next-gen store would sit in the future and provide experiences that would demonstrate how new technologies would benefit their customers, service as premium space for new product launches, and as a sandbox for experimenting with new forms of revenue.
